Hello, my name is Jennifer Turpin and I have been creating pet commissions for over 15 years. In those years I have grown my ability to understand my customers needs and I’m very proud of the partnership that develops out of this process. How to get started on your very own pet portrait - this is for an 11 x 14 inch stretched canvas option
 
Step 1 - email me a good quality photo of your pet. A clear photo is key to have the best pet portrait. Feel free to send as many pictures as possible. I will work from 1 main photo and the others help with any missing details. 
 
Step 2 - select a size. To keep pricing simple my prices are $2 per inch. My size options are - 8.5x11, 11x14, and 16x20. Please let me know if you prefer a different size. All paintings are created on stretched canvas with the sides painted. Your portrait can be hung with or without a frame. 
 
Step 3 - I will send you sketch’s of possible layouts. These are only quick drawings to capture an idea of how you would like to see your final pet portrait.
 
Step 4 - A 50% deposit is made to secure your place on the commission list. Once we agree to a sketch, I’ll provide a start date and I will send you updates as we go along. I often have other pet portraits I’m working on so timing varies depending on when I start. Please let me know if you have any specific dates. 
 
Step 5 - Once I have your final approval of your pet portrait and I have received the final payment,  I will package your painting to safely arrive to your home. I usually ship through FedEx since they have been really excellent at shipping art.
